Rising independent pro wrestler BK Westbrook recently shared his experience of appearing on All Elite Wrestling's "Collision," marking his first opportunity to compete on national television.
Westbrook faced "Speedball" Mike Bailey on the May edition of "Collision." Though his ring name was shortened to just "Westbrook" for the match, which lasted just over a minute, he expressed gratitude for the chance to showcase his skills.
"It was cool. So, I've done extra work a couple times. I've gotten to be kind of in the background, just somebody who's just happy to be a part of the show," Westbrook told Fox News Digital. "But to be on the show and to be like wrestling, is my first opportunity that I got. Getting a chance to wrestle Mike Bailey, who's somebody I have history with from just being on various independent shows over the years before he's gotten this awesome AEW run and everything and being around him and like Deadlock Pro for instance."
Westbrook has been active on the independent wrestling circuit since late 2025, appearing in promotions such as Game Changer Wrestling, Pandemonium: Pro Wrestling, and Deadlock Pro Wrestling. He noted that opportunities to perform on television are rare for wrestlers on the independent scene.
"I know a good amount of people there at AEW so it was kind of cool to be in that environment. I was super thrilled just to be able to be on TV. I might not have been BK Westbrook, I might have been just ‘Westbrook,’ but the guy is still there. I was thankful for the opportunity. Absolutely. It was a good time."
Westbrook is scheduled to appear at Pandemonium Pro's "JoJo" event in August. The event aims to raise funds for the family of Jordan Saint, who died in a car accident. Westbrook is slated to compete against Epidemiyus Jr. at the benefit show.
