Big Cass re-entered the WWE ring on "Monday Night Raw" on August 3, 2026, marking his return to the company after an eight-year absence. His reappearance followed weeks of teases and occurred when he attacked Je’Von Evans shortly after Evans defeated Ethan Page.
In a backstage interview with Jackie Redmond, Cass declared his intention to dominate the roster. "Eight years. I was left for dead in the dirt. Eight years it took me to get back here from rock bottom," he stated. "Je’Von Evans – nothing personal, bro. You were just in the way. Make no mistake about it. I am here to stack bodies. You were just the first. You surely won’t be the last."
Other notable returns on the same night included Becky Lynch and Stephanie Vaquer. Lynch made her presence known after Roxanne Perez's match against Sol Ruca concluded with a disqualification when Liv Morgan attempted to interfere. As Perez and The Judgment Day began to attack Ruca, Lynch entered the ring.
Lynch stated her intention to pursue Morgan's Women's World Championship, which Morgan had successfully defended against Iyo Sky at SummerSlam. Following the departure of The Judgment Day, Vaquer's entrance music played. She confronted Morgan, retaliating against her before Rodriguez and Perez were also involved. Vaquer then joined Lynch in the ring, setting up a potential rivalry for Morgan's title.
