Bengals Wide Receiver Ja'Marr Chase Suffers Concussion Against Jaguars

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase was evaluated for a concussion and ruled out for the remainder of Sunday's game against the Jacksonville Jaguars. The injury occurred in the second quarter when Jaguars cornerback Jarrian Jones was penalized for a facemask violation while attempting to tackle Chase. Following the facemask pull, Chase sustained a significant hit from Jaguars linebacker Ventrell Miller.

Chase had three catches for 37 yards before leaving the game. He had been regaining form in recent weeks, with 16 receptions for 173 yards and three touchdowns in the two games prior to Sunday's matchup. Chase is a five-time Pro Bowl selection and a key component of the Bengals' offense.

The Bengals' offense struggled in the first half, managing only three points against Jacksonville. Quarterback Joe Burrow found tight end Mike Gesicki for a touchdown early in the second half, but the loss of Chase presents a significant challenge for the team's offensive capabilities. Cincinnati entered Week 4 with a 2-1 record.
