Bengals Seek to End Losing Streak Against Struggling Dolphins

The Cincinnati Bengals will look to snap a two-game losing streak when they face the winless Miami Dolphins in Week 5. Miami has struggled offensively this season, failing to score more than 13 points in any game.

However, the Bengals are dealing with significant injury concerns heading into Sunday's matchup. Wide receivers Ja'Marr Chase, who has been limited in practice with a concussion, and Tee Higgins, who has not practiced due to a hamstring issue, are both listed as questionable. The absence of these key playmakers has contributed to the Bengals being only 7-point favorites on the road.

Despite potential missing pieces, Cincinnati's offense features quarterback Joe Burrow, who ranks among the most accurate passers in the NFL. Burrow is completing 71.2 percent of his passes this season and averages 39 attempts per game. This high volume of passes is expected to continue even with potential injuries to his top receivers.

The Dolphins defense has been vulnerable through the air, allowing the highest completion percentage in the league at 77.9 percent and the third-most yards per attempt. In their previous game, the Dolphins surrendered 247 passing yards to Kyler Murray.

With or without Chase and Higgins, the Bengals are expected to rely heavily on their passing game. Targets such as Dohnte Meyers, tight end Mike Gesicki, and running back Chase Brown are anticipated to increase their involvement and contribute against Miami's defense. Analyst Malik Smith, who has covered sports betting since 2017, predicts Joe Burrow will exceed 23.5 completions in the game.
