Bahrain Grand Prix Delayed by Heavy Rain in Malaysia

The Bahrain Grand Prix, relocated to Malaysia and scheduled to begin Sunday in Sepang, has been delayed due to heavy rainfall. The race was due to commence at 3 p.m. local time but was postponed as biblical conditions impacted the track.

A safety car was observed struggling to maintain control during an outlap intended to assess the track's condition. Officials from the FIA face a time constraint to commence the race before daylight ends around 7 p.m.

This event marks the first time in three years that Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton are set to start from the front row together. The Grand Prix was moved from its original location in the Middle East due to ongoing conflict in the region.

Further details will be provided as they become available.
