Aston Villa are in advanced negotiations to sign Chelsea winger Alejandro Garnacho, potentially on a loan deal that includes an obligation to buy. The 21-year-old Argentina international was made available for sale by Chelsea last month for £43 million.

The potential move follows Chelsea's agreement to a record £117 million fee for Morgan Rogers from Aston Villa. Discussions regarding Garnacho and striker Nicolas Jackson, who is available for £65 million, were part of a separate transaction that would see them move to Villa Park.

If the deal is finalized, Garnacho would become Villa's fourth signing of a busy summer transfer window. He would join Johan Manzambi, Joao Gomes, and Modou Kaba Cisse, who have already moved to the club. This influx of new players comes as Villa is set to see significant player sales, with nearly £200 million expected from departures including Youri Tielemans, Donyell Malen, Enzo Barrenechea, and Lewis Dobbin.

Chelsea's willingness to offload Garnacho comes despite signing him from Manchester United for £40 million last September. Manchester United would be entitled to 10 percent of any future transfer fee. Garnacho's impact at Stamford Bridge has been limited, with just one Premier League goal. The recent acquisitions of Rogers and Sporting winger Geovany Quenda have further increased the club's need to streamline its squad.
