Arsenal Announces 60 Job Cuts Following Premier League Title Win

Arsenal has informed its staff that approximately 60 jobs are slated for elimination. These redundancies will affect off-field positions and will not impact the coaching staff or support teams for the men's and women's first teams, nor the club's community initiatives, the Arsenal Foundation, or security personnel.

The announcement comes just days after manager Mikel Arteta signed a new four-year contract, reportedly worth around £20 million annually, making him the highest-paid manager in the Premier League. This follows the club's recent Premier League title victory, which ended a 22-year drought.

In February, Arsenal reported an overall loss of £1.4 million for the 2024-25 financial year, despite achieving record revenues of £691 million. Recent high-profile departures from the club's administration include chief commercial officer Juliet Slot and long-serving general counsel Svenja Geissmar.
