Arsenal has reached an agreement to sell winger Leandro Trossard to Turkish club Besiktas for £17.1 million. The deal includes an initial payment of £15.4 million, with an additional £1.7 million in add-ons.

Trossard, 31, joined Arsenal from Brighton in 2023. He had become a regular starter on the left wing during the latter part of the season, ahead of players like Gabriel Martinelli. However, with no progress on contract negotiations, the North London club has decided to sell the player this summer.

The Belgian international is currently with his national team at the World Cup. His departure may prompt Arsenal to seek a replacement in the transfer market.

The move comes after Trossard's personal life became public, with reports indicating he and his wife of seven years have separated. The couple married in June 2019 and share two children. Trossard confirmed the separation during the season.

Other Arsenal forwards, Gabriel Jesus and Gabriel Martinelli, also have one year remaining on their contracts, although the club holds an option for an additional year on Martinelli's deal.
