Arizona Cardinals offensive lineman Isaiah Adams plans to report to the team's training camp in Glendale, Arizona, this week, despite facing gun and drug charges in his native Ontario, Canada. Adams' agent confirmed his intention to join the team for the start of camp on Wednesday, according to ESPN.
Adams, 25, was arrested on charges including 'Possess Firearm Obtained by Crime' and 'Possess Restricted/Prohibited Firearm,' Durham Regional Police announced. The investigation, which concluded Friday, also involved allegations of drug trafficking. During the investigation, authorities seized over three kilograms of suspected fentanyl from one vehicle.
His sister, Allyson Adams, 27, was also arrested and faces the same firearm charges. Two other individuals, Jaelin Gamble and Natasha Rotta, were arrested and charged with 'Possess Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking (fentanyl).' A fourth suspect later surrendered to police.
The Arizona Cardinals released a statement acknowledging awareness of the situation. "We are aware of the situation involving Isaiah Adams," the statement read. "Out of respect for the process, we will refrain from commenting further at this time."
A third-round pick from Illinois, Adams started five games as a rookie and 11 games in the 2025 season. However, the team expects rookie Chase Bisontis to compete for the right guard position during training camp. The Cardinals are looking to improve their offensive line as they prepare for the upcoming season after a 3-14 record in 2025.
