Arizona Cardinals Fans Buy Billboards Demanding Team Sale
Frustrated supporters of the struggling NFL team have taken their protest public, displaying messages for owner Michael Bidwill.
Fans of the Arizona Cardinals have escalated their frustration with the team's performance by purchasing electronic billboards in the Phoenix area with a direct message to owner Michael Bidwill: "SELL THE TEAM. Funded by Cardinals Fans. #BIDWILLOUT."
The campaign was reportedly organized by Nathan Kropp, known on social media as Mr. AZ Sports. The team currently holds a 1-4 record, having lost four consecutive games after winning their season opener.
Kropp stated that the catalyst for the billboard initiative was a recent home game where he observed more fans supporting the visiting Detroit Lions than the Cardinals. "And then I went on X, and people were just completely outraged," Kropp said. "Like, I’ve never seen the fan base; I’ve seen the fan base upset."
This sentiment among the fanbase stems from what they perceive as the team's stagnation, particularly its inability to win a postseason game in over a decade. The billboards aim to put the organization on notice, though the team has not commented on the public display.
