Argentina head coach Felipe Contepomi exited his post-match news conference prematurely after his team's 31-24 loss to England in the Nations Championship, accusing the opposing side of a "lack of respect" due to their celebrations.

Contepomi stated that he had requested an England representative to curb the noise emanating from the changing room next to Argentina's, where music and celebrations were taking place.

The contentious match saw Argentina denied a try in the final play by the television match official, contributing to a chaotic conclusion. England had established a commanding 19-3 lead by halftime. Argentina, who wore replica kits of the 1986 football World Cup winning team, mounted a second-half comeback.

England faced disciplinary issues after the break, with four players receiving yellow cards. Former scrum-half Matt Dawson described the team's discipline as "verging on comical."

The defeat comes days after Argentina's football team defeated England in the semi-finals of the World Cup. In the Nations Championship, England currently holds third place in their northern hemisphere group. The competition is scheduled to resume on November 6, with finals set for November 28 and 29.
