Angel Reese, a standout player for the Atlanta Dream, has voiced her strong dissatisfaction after she and her teammates were overlooked for starting spots in the upcoming WNBA All-Star Game. The Dream currently hold one of the best records in the Eastern Conference, yet none of its players were named starters.

Reese, along with guards Rhyne Howard and Allisha Gray, were all considered strong candidates for All-Star recognition but were not among the selected starters when fan, media, and player votes were tallied. Reese stated that she has come to expect disrespect but spoke out particularly for Howard and Gray, who she believes are crucial to the team's success and would not publicly express their own disappointment.

"The reason why we're where we are is because of those two," Reese said, referring to Howard and Gray. "For us not to have anyone was just a slap in the face."

The All-Star starting rosters included four guards and six frontcourt players. Howard and Gray narrowly missed out on starting positions, finishing just outside the top four in voting points. Reese also finished closely behind, securing sixth place despite a strong showing across all voting categories.

Despite the snub from starting roles, all three Atlanta Dream players are still expected to be selected as All-Stars. Reese is currently averaging a double-double this season, with 14.8 points and a league-leading 11.6 rebounds per game.

Howard and Gray were also critical to the Dream's strong performance. Rhyne Howard Allisha Grey
