Angel Reese's 'Manifestation' Propels Atlanta Dream to WNBA Finals

Angel Reese has reached the WNBA Finals, fulfilling a prediction she made exactly one year prior. The Atlanta Dream forward's tweet from October 10, 2025, stating "Manifesting the finals>>>" proved prescient as the team defeated the New York Liberty on Friday night, securing their first Finals berth since 2013.

Reese, in her rookie season with the Dream, directly attributed the team's success to her earlier declaration. "I manifested this," she told ESPN following the Game 3 victory. "When I came to Atlanta, I knew what I was getting. This team has poured so much into me. We poured so much into each other. I posted and tweeted, 10/10/25, that I was manifesting the Finals, and this is my moment."

Reese, who was named Defensive Player of the Year this season, scored 22 points, grabbed nine rebounds, and added three assists and two blocks in the decisive Game 3 win. The Dream completed a three-game sweep of the Liberty and now advance to face the Golden State Valkyries in the championship series.

This marks Reese's first opportunity to compete for a WNBA championship. She has prior championship experience, having won the NCAA women's basketball national championship with the LSU Tigers three years ago, in a high-profile matchup against Caitlin Clark and the Iowa Hawkeyes.

The WNBA Finals are set to begin on October 17 in Golden State.
