Former England winger Andros Townsend was briefly trapped under a pitch roller during a pre-match warm-up in Thailand.
The incident occurred on Saturday before a Thai League 1 match between PT Prachuap, Townsend's team, and Pattani. A pitch roller, operated by a staff member, reportedly veered out of control, with Townsend's left leg getting caught underneath it momentarily.
Townsend, who has played for clubs including Tottenham, Luton, and Crystal Palace, emerged from the incident unhurt. He later came off the bench in the second half as PT Prachuap secured a 3-0 victory.
Following the match, Townsend, who has 13 caps for England, took to Instagram to make light of the situation. He referenced a previous post where he compared a trip to Thailand with playing away at Stoke City, known for its challenging away support. Townsend humorously captioned his post, "It turns out Stoke away wasn't so bad after all. Swipe to see why."
