Andre Onana Incorporates Fire Into Recovery Routine

Former Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana has unveiled a unique recovery technique that incorporates fire into his therapeutic regimen. Onana, who is contracted to Manchester United but currently playing on loan for Turkish side Trabzonspor, shared footage of his unconventional approach to cupping therapy.

The method involves placing cups on the skin to create suction, a common practice aimed at relieving muscle tension and improving blood circulation. However, Onana's routine adds an element of fire, which is not typical for the therapy. The goalkeeper was seen lying on a massage bed with numerous cups on his back, alongside ignited objects.

Onana joined Manchester United in 2023. Following a challenging period that led to him losing his starting position and subsequently being loaned out, he is now seeking to rebuild his career in Turkey. His wages are reportedly not being covered by Manchester United, and it is anticipated he will depart the club permanently either this summer or upon the expiration of his contract in 2028.

Trabzonspor has experienced a mixed season so far. The team was eliminated from the Europa League in the playoff stage and suffered an opening-day loss to Amed SK. However, they rebounded with a 5-0 victory against Genclerbirligi the following week, a match in which Onana secured his first clean sheet of the campaign. The club currently sits seventh in the league standings after six games. They concluded the matches before the international break with another dominant 5-0 win over Galatasaray. Onana, however, will not be participating in any matches during this international break as he was not selected for Cameroon's squad.
