Detroit Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown, 26, announced his engagement to his high school sweetheart Brooklyn Adams, 26, during the NFL offseason this past week. The couple shared the news on social media Tuesday with a series of photos captioned "Hard Launch."

The proposal took place on the deck of a yacht, surrounded by white orchids. Photos showed St. Brown on one knee presenting a ring box, and Adams later displaying a large cushion-cut diamond ring. The announcement was met with congratulations from within the NFL community, including a repost from the official NFL Instagram account.

St. Brown and Adams have a history dating back to their sophomore year of high school in Anaheim, California, approximately a decade ago. They maintained a long-distance relationship for several years while Adams pursued nursing school in Orange County and St. Brown played in the NFL. Adams relocated to Michigan in 2024 after becoming a certified nurse, ending the long-distance nature of their relationship.

Adams has since shifted her focus from nursing to lead St. Brown's non-profit organization, the St. Brown Foundation, which supports youth literacy initiatives in Michigan. St. Brown, a fourth-round draft pick in 2021, has become a key receiver for the Lions and signed a four-year, $120 million contract extension with $77 million guaranteed following the 2024 season.
