Amanda Anisimova Responds to Ozempic Rumors Amidst Body Transformation
Tennis star Amanda Anisimova directly addressed speculation about her weight loss, denying the use of Ozempic and asking for privacy.
Wimbledon finalist Amanda Anisimova has publicly refuted claims that she is using Ozempic for her recent body transformation. The 25-year-old tennis player took to social media to address the speculation, stating, "To all the health experts and professional body commentators in the comments, I'm not using Ozempic. Please leave me alone and out of your unique posts."
Anisimova, who has been open about public commentary on her body, has shared photos on her Instagram profile showcasing her changed physique. This is not the first time she has faced online scrutiny regarding her weight. In the past, she has responded to comments branding her 'too fat' and has expressed frustration with constant remarks about her body.
In 2023, Anisimova spoke out after the Madrid Open, questioning the "hyper fixation" on her body by social media users. She subsequently took a break from tennis to focus on her mental health. Earlier this year, she described the situation as "overall cyber bullying all the time, like commenting on my body all the time, every single day."
Anisimova is currently ranked 11th in the world, having achieved a career-high ranking of third at the beginning of the year. Her previous Grand Slam achievements include reaching the final of Wimbledon last year, where she lost to Iga Swiatek, and a runner-up finish at the US Open in the same year. She also reached the semi-finals of the French Open as a teenager in 2019 and the quarter-finals of the Australian Open.
