Tennis stars Alex de Minaur and Katie Boulter were married in England on Sunday, the final day of Wimbledon. The ceremony took place in a church in a Leicestershire village, near where Boulter grew up, with a small gathering of family in attendance, followed by a celebration at a nearby pub.
Boulter, 29, wore a white off-the-shoulder gown, while de Minaur, 27, chose a black suit with a white shirt and bow tie. The couple arrived at the ceremony together in a black Porsche Carrera.
The marriage follows recent disappointments for both players at the All England Club. De Minaur was eliminated in the fourth round on July 6 by Flavio Cobolli, and Boulter was knocked out in the first round of her home Grand Slam. De Minaur, currently ranked world No. 5, has not yet advanced past the quarterfinals of a major tournament in his career.
Speaking after his Wimbledon exit, de Minaur discussed the mental challenge of repeated difficult losses. He indicated that upcoming personal events would help him shift his focus. "I've got some pretty big things happening soon, some stuff that I'm very excited for," de Minaur said. "I think my best way forward is to channel my focus into that, into something positive, and that should help put this in the past."
The couple, who have been together for six years, announced their engagement in December 2024 via social media. They were photographed after the ceremony being showered with rose petals.
