AEW Star Pac Dies at 40, Leaving Wrestling World in Shock
The wrestler, whose real name is Benjamin Satterley, passed away just one day after competing at AEW's All Out event.
All Elite Wrestling (AEW) announced the death of star wrestler Pac on Sunday night, sending shockwaves through the professional wrestling community. Pac, whose real name is Benjamin Satterley, was 40 years old and had competed the previous evening at the AEW All Out event in Hoffman Estates, Illinois, against Andrade El Idolo for the national championship.
Many in the wrestling world expressed disbelief and shared tributes on social media, as they had only recently seen him perform. Pac was one of the initial signees for AEW in 2019 and held multiple championships within the promotion, including the All-Atlantic Championship and the Trios Championship on two occasions. He was also a member of the faction The Death Riders, led by Jon Moxley.
Before his tenure with AEW, Satterley competed in WWE under the ring name Adrian Neville. During his time there, he was a two-time WWE Cruiserweight Champion, an NXT Champion, and a two-time NXT Tag Team Champion. His career began on the independent circuit in 2004, where he became a notable presence in promotions such as Pro Wrestling Guerrilla, Dragon Gate USA, and Wrestle Zone Wrestling.
In 2017, Pro Wrestling Illustrated recognized his talent by ranking him as the 11th best wrestler in the world.
