Aces Dominate Fever in Playoff Opener, 102-85

The Las Vegas Aces asserted their dominance over the Indiana Fever, securing a commanding 102-85 victory in Game 1 of their first-round playoff series. Aces star A'ja Wilson delivered a powerhouse performance, leading all scorers with 38 points and adding 16 rebounds.

The defending champions controlled the game from the outset, building a lead that reached as many as 27 points. The Fever struggled to find offensive rhythm against the Aces' physical and disciplined defense, entering the postseason with little momentum after a 20-point loss in their regular-season finale.

For the Fever, rookie sensation Caitlin Clark recorded a double-double with 15 points and 10 assists, but faced constant defensive pressure. Clark struggled with her shooting, making just 6 of 18 attempts and committing six turnovers along with five fouls. Kelsey Mitchell added 12 points, hitting only 4 of 16 shots.

Aliyah Boston led the Fever in scoring with 18 points, complemented by eight rebounds and four assists. Off the bench, Sophie Cunningham provided a spark, scoring 13 points with three three-pointers, but it was not enough to close the gap.

Game 2 of the best-of-three series will shift to Indianapolis on Tuesday, where the Fever will aim to even the series on their home court.
