Aaron Judge's Availability for Yankees' ALDS Series Remains Uncertain

The New York Yankees advanced to the American League Division Series after a two-game sweep of the Boston Red Sox, but the status of star outfielder Aaron Judge remains uncertain. Judge has been out since September 19 with a calf strain, and his availability for the upcoming series against the Tampa Bay Rays is still unknown.

The Yankees have until Saturday morning to finalize their roster for Game 1, scheduled for 6:30 p.m. in St. Petersburg, Florida. If Judge is added to the roster, it would mark his first appearance in this postseason.

Manager Aaron Boone addressed Judge's health status prior to the roster submission deadline. "The trainers will obviously play a big part in this. As the day unfolds, we'll see where we're at and what it potentially looks like for the series," Boone said.

While Judge has participated in live batting practice, Boone is still evaluating how and when the player could be utilized against the Rays. "It's just as far as him and the field, potentially," Boone stated. "But we're looking at the days and so it's more, 'Is he going to be available at some point in this series, potentially, as a player?' That's what we're kind of weighing and then seeing where he's at now these last few days having taken live [batting practice]."

The Yankees' postseason journey continues with their divisional series against the Rays.
