New York Yankees captain Aaron Judge was present at the New York City Marathon on Sunday, stepping away from baseball to support his wife, Samantha, who was competing in the event.

Judge was photographed holding their one-year-old daughter, Nora, near 88th Street and First Avenue. He wore a Yankees pullover as he watched the runners pass. When Samantha approached, Judge waved and pointed for Nora to see her mother.

The couple later reunited with Samantha at the marathon's finish line. She completed the race with an unofficial time of 3 hours, 29 minutes, and 44 seconds. Judge has previously supported Samantha at the NYC Marathons in 2025, 2023, and 2022.

Judge and Samantha met in high school and attended Fresno State together before marrying in 2021.

This event followed a challenging 2026 baseball season for Judge, which was hampered by injuries. He played in only 66 games, hitting 18 home runs and recording 41 RBIs. His absence was particularly felt during the postseason after he sustained a calf strain in September. The Yankees were eliminated in the American League Championship Series by the Tampa Bay Rays.

Following the team's postseason exit, Judge expressed his expectations for the Yankees' front office, stating, "We're the Yankees. I feel like they should go all in and do what they need to do."
