Aaron Donald has ended his retirement and agreed to rejoin the Los Angeles Rams for what he hopes will be a Super Bowl championship run. The decision comes after the Rams' recent acquisition of star pass rusher Myles Garrett.

Donald, 35, had retired after the 2023 season, having achieved numerous accolades including a Super Bowl title, multiple All-Pro and Pro Bowl selections, and establishing himself as a surefire Hall of Famer. In his final season, he recorded eight sacks and 53 tackles. Over his career, he amassed 543 tackles, 176 tackles for loss, 111 sacks, and 260 quarterback hits.

Despite his contentment with life after football, Donald stated that the opportunity to team up with Garrett on a strong Rams defense proved too enticing to pass up. The Rams are reportedly prepared to navigate the salary cap implications of Donald's return, which could involve roughly $30 million left on the table when he initially retired.

Donald's return is expected to create a formidable defensive line and send a strong message to the rest of the NFL.
