San Francisco 49ers offensive tackle Trent Williams is facing a lawsuit seeking approximately $240,000 for allegedly failing to make payments on a luxury Porsche 911. The OpenRoad Auto Group filed the suit, alleging Williams has missed 46 payments on a 48-month lease agreement signed in 2018.
According to the lawsuit, Williams made the initial two lease payments in August and September 2021, but has reportedly not made any subsequent payments. The current whereabouts of the Porsche 911, which can be valued between $75,000 and $250,000, are unknown, the report states. There are also previous claims that Williams may have sold the vehicle to another company without proper authorization.
OpenRoad Auto Group is suing Williams for breach of contract, fraud, and other legal claims, seeking $244,199.28 in damages. The lawsuit comes several months after the 49ers signed Williams to a two-year, $50 million contract extension during the offseason.
Williams, 38, is a highly decorated player with 12 Pro Bowl selections and five All-Pro selections, including three first-team nods. He was the fourth overall pick in the 2010 NFL Draft and played his first decade with the Washington Redskins before being traded to San Francisco in April 2020.
