San Francisco 49ers CEO and owner Jed York was arrested on Sunday in East Palestine, Ohio, on suspicion of engaging in prostitution. The team’s CEO, whose legal name is John Edward York, was booked into Columbiana County Jail.
On Monday, York reportedly pleaded no contest after the charge of engaging in prostitution was amended to disorderly conduct. He was also convicted of one misdemeanor charge of possessing criminal tools.
A judge sentenced York to one day in jail for each count, served concurrently. He was ordered to pay a $150 fine for the disorderly conduct conviction and a $1,000 fine for possessing criminal tools.
York, 46, is the son of 49ers co-chairs Denise DeBartolo York and John York. He was named CEO of the team in 2008. During his tenure, the 49ers have won five NFC West Division titles, appeared in seven NFC Championship Games, and reached three Super Bowls.
