Stunning photographs have captured day-to-day life in the Earth's frozen frontiers, with British photographers Sue Flood and Ian Dawson releasing their new book, "Midnight Sun." The collection features 208 pages and 132 captioned images, focusing equally on the Arctic and Antarctic.

The book aims to raise awareness for environments that are "in need of protection," showcasing some of the regions' most iconic animals, including polar bears and Adélie penguins. The photographers' work highlights "spectacular, harsh and rapidly changing landscapes," with images depicting emperor penguins huddled against blizzards and Adélie penguins navigating icy terrain.

The photographers' efforts document the scenery of lands that are "too often ignored," presenting a "treasured record before these landscapes change forever." Among the featured images are polar bears crossing ice floes in Alaska's Beaufort Sea, leaping polar bears in the Arctic Ocean, and orcas gliding through waters in Antarctica's Ross Sea.

Flood and Dawson, described as veteran expeditioners, combined their work to create the book, which includes images captured over several years, such as Adélie penguins on Siple Island in 2022 and a Beaufort Sea Bear in August 2024.
