Teddi Mellencamp offered a candid look at her cancer recovery journey in a tearful video posted to her Instagram Stories on Wednesday. The "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" alum described the fluctuating nature of her healing process, noting the significant impact of a new medication.

"This is what recovery looks like. One day, I’m hopping around doing a million things, and then the next day, I am shaking so bad I can barely get up the stairs. My anxiety is a 10," Mellencamp shared, explaining that her hands were too shaky to hold her phone steady for the recording.

She attributed these severe side effects to a new medication introduced on Monday, which she said was affecting her "really weird." Mellencamp later posted a screenshot of the medication's common side effects, which included weight gain, headache, dizziness, cold symptoms, and akathisia, an inner sense of restlessness. She sarcastically described the list as a "blast."

Mellencamp, who announced her Stage 2 melanoma diagnosis in October 2022, has undergone more than a dozen surgeries to treat the disease. This included emergency brain surgery in 2025 to remove several tumors. In October of the previous year, she revealed that her cancer, which had spread to her lungs, was "gone." However, doctors have indicated it will take time before she can be officially declared in remission.

Beyond the physical challenges, Mellencamp has been focusing on her emotional and mental well-being. She told Page Six in February that she has been attending therapy to find "peace, happiness, and joy" and to "find myself again."

In April, Mellencamp also shared that she is in a new relationship with an "older man" who makes her laugh frequently, as mentioned on her podcast "Two Ts In A Pod."
