Nicole Eggert, 54, has shared the significant financial difficulties she encountered while battling stage two cribriform carcinoma breast cancer, diagnosed in December 2023. The "Baywatch" alum detailed these struggles in a recent interview with Fox News Digital, explaining how her treatment regimen impacted her ability to earn income.

Eggert underwent a double mastectomy and reconstruction, followed by a full hysterectomy in March. As a single mother to two daughters, one of whom is a teenager, she has had to balance extensive medical treatments with household responsibilities and the rising costs associated with her diagnosis.

"In my line of work, I couldn't commit to being on any kind of production because I'm gonna be in treatment and in and out of treatment... three to five, at least, days a week," Eggert stated. "So, it's not like it's work from home kind of work." This meant confronting the reality that "I wasn't gonna have income, and yet the bills don't stop." She noted the ongoing need to provide for her children and manage essential expenses like gas for the car.

To navigate these challenges, Eggert emphasized the importance of community support and being open to asking for help. "You really have to find your community, and you really have to be okay with asking for help or asking other people how they do it and getting tips and tricks and just all the information you can get," she said. She acknowledged that at times, she had to admit, "I'm underwater here. I don't know how I'm gonna do this."

Eggert first went public with her diagnosis in January 2024. Her symptoms, which began in October 2023 with weight gain and breast pain, led to a mammogram and biopsies confirming the cancer. Initially attributing some symptoms to menopause, she sought medical attention after discovering a lump.

She has previously described her daughters as her "rocks," providing crucial support throughout her health journey. In December 2025, Eggert shared positive news about clear blood test results indicating a rise in her white blood cell count without injections. "Today my tests were clear and my white blood cell count was up without those d*** blood injections. And I am in my car rocking out and celebrating! Let's go!!!!" she posted.

The Baywatch alum has since undergone a double mastectomy and reconstruction. Earlier this year in March, she also underwent a full hysterectomy

In March, Eggert revealed the decision to undergo a full hysterectomy due to "early signs of more cancer." She wrote on Instagram that the procedure "eliminates at least 7 different types of cancers." Earlier this year, in April, she shared photos showcasing her body and surgical scars, noting that "grief can arise from many life situations, but know it is not a permanent state of being."

Eggert is best known for her role as Summer Quinn on "Baywatch" from 1992 to 1994. Her other acting credits include "Charles In Charge," "Boy Meets World," and "Who's The Boss."
