Kate Tickle, a former British model, discovered she had breast cancer after experiencing a remarkably vivid dream about finding a lump. The dream prompted her to seek medical attention in May 2025, leading to an early diagnosis of the disease.
Although doctors could not initially feel a lump, Tickle's intuition led her to undergo a mammogram, which revealed an underlying issue. Following the diagnosis, she began chemotherapy in November of the same year. Months later, Tickle received an offer for a role in the upcoming film "Armani: The King of Fashion."
In the movie, Tickle portrays the personal assistant to the iconic fashion designer Giorgio Armani, who died of liver failure in September at age 91. The film is based on Armani's life and his relationship with business partner Sergio Galeotti.
Tickle attributes her second chance at life to Andrea Iervolino, who was inspired by her story and her desire to motivate others facing similar challenges. "When I told Andrea everything I had been through and how I wanted to inspire my four boys and anyone going through similar things, he wanted to make it happen," Tickle stated.
This is not the first time cancer has impacted Tickle's life. In 1997, at age 14, she was a bone marrow match for her brother, Chris, who was battling leukemia. Tickle underwent the procedure, and her brother recovered. Her efforts earned her a Bravery Award from the House of Commons, and she became an Ambassador for the Anthony Nolan Bone-Marrow Trust.
Now cancer-free, Tickle hopes to inspire others facing life-altering circumstances. "Don’t stop dreaming. Cancer may change your past, but it doesn’t have to take away your hopes for the future," she told the Daily Mail. "I want other people who receive the news [that] they have cancer, or any other life-changing circumstance, to keep believing there is life after treatment and joy after fear, and that they are stronger than they know."
