Josie Gibson, known for her television appearances, recently showcased a noticeably slimmer figure while presenting on "This Morning." Her altered appearance follows a £7,000 liposuction procedure and a brachioplasty, also known as an arm lift, undertaken to address lipoedema.

Gibson, 41, revealed that 45 percent of her arm was removed during the brachioplasty. This procedure aims to remove excess skin and fat from the upper arm. The presenter had previously shared that despite regular exercise, she struggled to reduce fat accumulation in certain areas of her body due to her medical condition.

Lipoedema is described as a chronic disorder characterized by the abnormal, symmetrical buildup of adipose tissue, primarily affecting the legs, hips, buttocks, and sometimes the arms. According to the NHS, it is a long-term condition affecting both sides of the body equally and is more common in women, though it is distinct from obesity and not significantly impacted by diet and exercise.

Gibson has been incorporating various wellness practices to aid her recovery and overall health. These include using a treadmill for exercise, consuming collagen supplements and electrolytes, and undergoing lymphatic drainage treatments. She has also explored NAD+ and glutathione injectables for anti-aging benefits and has utilized a hyperbaric chamber to promote healing. Additionally, she has experimented with a homemade copper pyramid triangle, which she uses for meditation and energy healing.

In March, Gibson first shared news of her brachioplasty surgery, stating she felt "really good" just a week after the operation. She explained that the lipoedema affected her arms, leading her to feel uncomfortable wearing sleeveless tops. While the surgery involved no pain, she noted it temporarily limited her physical activities. The recovery process for a brachioplasty typically involves a period of restricted heavy lifting for several weeks.
