The Daily Mail Kitchen, a recently launched test version of a recipe tool, has been updated with two new features: meal suggestions based on existing ingredients and recipe scaling for household size. These changes were implemented following feedback from readers who tested the tool last week.

Users can now input ingredients they have on hand, such as mince, eggs, or spinach, and the tool will suggest dinner recipes that utilize these items. Previously, the tool's 'suggestion' button only allowed users to sign up for updates.

When a user first requests a recipe suggestion, the Kitchen tool now prompts for the number of people they are cooking for: 1–2, 3–4, or 5 or more. All subsequent recipe suggestions will be scaled to match this specified household size, with the option to change it at any time.

The Daily Mail Kitchen remains a test version and is being updated daily. After users prepare a meal using a recipe, the tool will ask a single question about how it could be made more useful. Readers can access the tool at dailymail.com/kitchen.
