Drinking beverages at very hot temperatures can significantly increase the risk of developing esophageal cancer, according to a study.

Individuals who consumed their drinks at extremely high temperatures faced approximately three times the risk of cancer compared to those who drank their tea or coffee warm.

The findings suggest that the temperature at which drinks are consumed can play a role in the development of the disease, potentially by damaging the food pipe.
