Model Bella Hadid, 29, shared an emotional update on her ongoing battle with Lyme disease, revealing a recent debilitating flare-up that has significantly impacted her health. In a series of posts on her Instagram stories on Thursday, Hadid described experiencing symptoms that have left her struggling with daily activities.

"Haven't been able to shake off this flare up... Slept 11 hours. Again... Nap everyday. Took every protocol from any and every doctor I've seen. Still nothing helping. IFYKY," Hadid wrote, accompanying the text with a selfie showing her in tears. She added that she has "diagnosed myself with 12 other things so that's good."

The model explained the severity of her condition, stating, "And no I didn't go on a walk because I was out of breath walking to the kitchen." She also alluded to cognitive difficulties, noting, "I don't think there's a singular brain cell in there working and my last two are beefing with each other so I'm sorry if I ever told you on a bad day to journal I take it back and I'm sorry."

Despite the challenging symptoms, Hadid reported a small victory, sharing that she was able to take a shower "without fainting." She concluded her update by saying this felt like a significant accomplishment and asked for support, humorously suggesting, "maybe someone can send me a cookie or something."

Earlier in her Instagram stories, Hadid posted about the challenges of being open about living with a chronic illness, describing it as both "intimidating and difficult."
