Zara McDermott Calls Louis Tomlinson 'Prince Charming,' Reveals They Live Together

Zara McDermott has described her boyfriend, Louis Tomlinson, as her "Prince Charming" and revealed that the couple has moved in together, detailing their "fairy tale" relationship for the first time.

McDermott, 29, who previously appeared on "Love Island," began dating the One Direction singer, 34, in early 2025. She spoke about their romance in a recent interview with Cosmopolitan.

"We’ve lived together for a while now, honestly, it’s just been amazing. I genuinely can’t even say one [irritating habit]. He’s like my Prince Charming. He’s like my fairy tale," McDermott told the publication. "He is genuinely the most amazing person I’ve ever met in my life, he’s an inspiration to me in so many ways. He is the most empathetic, considerate, kind person. He will always think about every single other person before himself, and I think that is such a rare quality to find in someone."

The couple reportedly moved into Tomlinson's North London mansion last August. McDermott had previously returned to her parents' home after ending her relationship with Sam Thompson of "Made in Chelsea."

McDermott stated that she values keeping her relationship with Tomlinson private, noting that the public does not know how they met or "anything about our relationship." She added, "We’re obviously not a secret, but we’re not shouting from the rooftops about it because that’s actually a beautiful thing to have just for you."

She shared that their evenings often involve watching television, and that Tomlinson enjoys a "perfectly brewed Yorkshire tea." McDermott acknowledged Tomlinson's extensive fanbase, which grew from his time in One Direction. "I knew that Lou was going to have a huge fan base, and his fan base are so protective and loving and supportive of him in every way. I understand their protectiveness. It’s like a fierce loyalty," she said.

The couple made their relationship Instagram official in June of the previous year, five months after they began dating, during a trip to Glastonbury with friends. Videos from the festival showed them being affectionate, with Tomlinson embracing McDermott as they enjoyed the music.

McDermott also mentioned that the couple splits their time between the UK and the US, where Tomlinson's son, Freddie, resides.

Tomlinson recently achieved a Number One album with his record "How Did I Get Here?". McDermott has been supporting him on his solo tour, although her own work commitments have required her to travel back to the UK on several occasions.

McDermott's ex-partner, Sam Thompson, is now in a relationship with influencer Talitha Balinska, 25. Thompson confirmed their relationship in early December and shared in February that he had told Balinska he was "in love" with her.
