Yeezy is scheduled to return to the runway on Wednesday with a surprise fashion show in Los Angeles, marking the brand's first presentation in four years. The event will also celebrate the opening of Yeezy's first brick-and-mortar store, according to Business of Fashion.

The upcoming show, titled "Yeezy Season 01," signifies a new chapter for West's fashion venture, which launched in 2015. Representatives for Yeezy did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

West's last runway presentation, "Yeezy Season 9," took place in October 2022. It was overshadowed by controversy when West wore a "White Lives Matter" T-shirt during a speech before the show, and the slogan was subsequently featured in the collection. The incident led to widespread backlash, with several attendees, including Jaden Smith, walking out in protest. Following the event, West made antisemitic remarks and lost significant brand partnerships, including those with Adidas, Vogue, and Balenciaga. His decade-long deal with Gap also concluded shortly before the 2022 show.

In the years since the 2022 controversy, West has attempted to reconcile, issuing an apology earlier this year for his "reckless anti-semitic comments." He has attributed his behavior to his bipolar disorder and complications from a past car accident. Despite the past controversies, some fans have continued to support his creative work.
