Witney Carson's 'Ridiculous' Baby Product Transformation
The 'Dancing With the Stars' pro admits she initially found a popular nasal aspirator odd but now calls it an essential for her children.
Witney Carson, a professional dancer on "Dancing With the Stars," has shared how her perception of a common baby product drastically changed after becoming a mother. Carson, who was pregnant with her third son while competing on the show, confessed to initially viewing Frida Baby's NoseFrida nasal aspirator as "ridiculous."
"I thought that was the weirdest, most disgusting thing ever until I had kids and they had booger noses," Carson told Glamour. She described the product, often referred to as a "booger sucker," as a product she now uses frequently for her children. "It's all we do when they're little," she added. "Now they can blow their own noses, but when they're little it was so key for them to breathe."
Carson and her husband, Carson McAllister, now own approximately 50 of the nasal aspirators. The product, invented by a Swedish doctor, is designed to help clear congestion in infants and young children.
Page Six Style Sr. Editor Melissa Minton echoed Carson's sentiment, noting that she also uses the Frida Baby nasal aspirator. Minton initially tried the brand's electric version but now prefers Carson's manual go-to. "I was very intimidated by the manual nature of this nose sucker, so I first purchased the more expensive electric version," Minton said. "I'm here to say, the aspirator seems gross but gets the job done; it's a total necessity that's replaced the machine for me."
The NoseFrida nasal aspirator has received positive reviews from consumers, holding a 4.5-star average rating from over 3,500 reviews on Target. One reviewer called it a "must-have for all new parents" and a "great baby shower gift."
