Wayne and Coleen Rooney Open Up About Family Life in New Disney+ Reality Series

Wayne Rooney and his wife Coleen are giving viewers an inside look at their family life in a new Disney+ reality series, offering a humorous take on recent changes, including Rooney's departure from his role as football manager. A clip released from the upcoming 10-episode documentary series shows the couple and their four sons—Kai, 16, Klay, 13, Kit, 10, and Cass, eight—navigating their "dream" home in Cheshire.

Coleen Rooney described the period as a time when "life's been turned on its head," referencing Wayne's seven-month tenure as manager for Plymouth Argyle, which ended after a run of nine defeats in 15 games in 2024. The series will document this pivotal year, following Rooney as he transitions from the touchline to managing school runs.

Simultaneously, the series highlights Coleen's career advancements, including her design collaboration with Primark. "My priority has always been the kids, however, since the court case, and then the jungle, the boys have been proud of their dad for so long. It's my turn now. It's opened a lot of doors," Coleen shared. She also touched on the nerves associated with her Primark range, humorously interrupted by a broken zipper on her leather skirt.

In a lighthearted moment from the clip, Wayne Rooney is seen playfully referencing his recent sacking. When asked about the shift in his career, he chuckled, "Yeah, we spoke about her doing more work, but not about me getting sacked." He also humorously reenacted placing Haribo sweet rings on his fingers during his childhood.

Coleen expressed her satisfaction with their Cheshire mansion, stating, "This house is everything I dreamed of as a little girl. You draw a house with a door in the middle and windows on both sides." Episodes 1-8 of the series will be exclusively available to stream on Disney+ starting September 24, with two special episodes following on October 1.
