Victoria's Secret Fashion Show Sparks Outrage Over Kylie Jenner's Fantasy Bra Debut

The 2026 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show has ignited widespread fan fury following Kylie Jenner's surprise runway debut, particularly her appearance in the brand's iconic $50 million Fantasy Bra. Critics took to social media to voice their discontent, with many calling for the show to be "canceled."

The reality television star donned the lavish gemstone-encrusted bra, which features a $22 million yellow diamond centerpiece and 4,410 other natural diamonds, at the spectacle held in Culver City, California. This marked the first time the bra had been featured on the runway since 2018, and Jenner became the first non-Angel to model the famed piece of lingerie.

Adam Selman, Victoria's Secret chief creative officer, explained the decision to Vogue, stating that Jenner "really extends beyond fashion, beyond culture, beyond TV, beyond one singular thing." He elaborated that the show's theme was "fandomonium" and that Jenner, with her massive following and cultural impact, was a "great catalyst for that." Selman described the pairing as "unexpected talent" and aimed to deliver a "joyful" and surprising moment.

The show, which returned to Los Angeles for the first time in 19 years, featured a lineup of prominent models including Gigi and Bella Hadid, Adriana Lima, Elsa Hosk, Barbara Palvin, Candice Swanepoel, Alessandra Ambrosio, and Irina Shayk. Musical performances were provided by Megan Thee Stallion, Katseye, Megan Moroney, and Tate McRae.

The event also introduced Victoria's Secret's newest Angel, Solange Omon, discovered through the brand's streaming series "Angels Among Us." This marked the show's third year back after a six-year hiatus that had previously cast doubt on the brand's future.

The brand had previously faced criticism for a lack of diversity, leading to the show's cancellation in 2019. The relaunch in 2024 saw a more inclusive roster, but the 2025 season saw a shift back towards a more "unapologetically sexy" branding under CEO Hillary Super, aiming to recapture sales and appeal.

Despite the return of familiar faces and a focus on "bombshell" roots, some models were notably absent, leading to fan disappointment. Romee Strijd and Frida Aasen were among those who reportedly did not receive invitations to walk this year.
