Victoria's Secret Fashion Show Returns to Los Angeles With Star-Studded Lineup
Kylie Jenner makes runway debut alongside supermodels Bella and Gigi Hadid, while controversy brews over model selections.
The Victoria's Secret Fashion Show made its highly anticipated return to Los Angeles on Sunday, gracing Sony Studios in Culver City with its presence for the first time in 19 years. The event showcased a dazzling display of lingerie, with a notable runway debut by Kylie Jenner.
Jenner, 29, stunned in a $50 million gemstone-encrusted fantasy bra, a sheer mini skirt, and white wings, marking her first appearance on the Victoria's Secret runway. Her boyfriend, Timothee Chalamet, and mother, Kris Jenner, were in attendance, watching from the front row.
The show also featured established supermodels, including sisters Bella and Gigi Hadid. Bella Hadid, 30, opened the show in a multicolored embellished bra, matching wings, and a sheer green mini skirt, followed by Gigi Hadid, 31, who wore a silver top, blue and pink underwear, and silver wings with a fringe.
Among the other models who walked the runway were Victoria's Secret veterans Adriana Lima, 45, in a lace lime bodysuit, and Alessandra Ambrosio, 45, in a pink bra and voluminous skirt. Elsa Hosk, 37, exuded glamour in a pink corset with dramatic sleeves, while Candice Swanepoel, 37, showcased her legs in a pink bodysuit. Barbara Palvin, 33, returned to the runway just six weeks after giving birth, and Vittoria Ceretti, 28, Leonardo DiCaprio's girlfriend, made an impact with brown wings and a matching bodysuit. Plus-size model Ashley Graham impressed in a pink bodysuit and floral wings, and Irina Shayk, 40, garnered attention in a pink slip dress. A teaser video of Gisele Bundchen, 46, preceded the models' walk.
The event featured musical performances by Megan Thee Stallion, Katseye, Megan Moroney, and Tate McRae. The show also highlighted the reveal of Victoria's Secret's newest Angel, discovered through the brand's YouTube series "Angels Among Us."
This year's show marked the third year of its return following a six-year hiatus. However, the event faced controversy due to the exclusion of several models. Romee Strijd, 31, who previously walked in the show from 2014 to 2018, shared a tearful video on TikTok detailing her last-minute rejection, reportedly due to not being a "good fit" for the show this year. Fellow former angel Frida Aasen, 31, also expressed disappointment after being turned down for a casting.
The social media reaction to these exclusions led to calls for a boycott from some fans, who questioned the brand's decision-making.
The Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, which debuted in 1995, was once a highly coveted event, broadcast live on television by 2001. However, it was canceled in 2019 amid criticism over a lack of diversity. The brand attempted a more inclusive rebrand in 2024, featuring a diverse roster of models, but the show was met with mixed reviews. By 2025, Victoria's Secret CEO Hillary Super announced a return to the brand's "unapologetically sexy" image.
