Victoria Beckham Returns to Recording Studio, Teases Collaboration with Son Cruz

Victoria Beckham has returned to the recording studio, 14 years after her last performance with the Spice Girls. Her son, Cruz Beckham, 21, shared a photo of his mother behind a microphone, captioning it, "yeah we got posh back in the studio ;)" and using the Spice Girls' debut single title, "Wannabe," as the soundtrack.

The post ignited fan speculation, with comments expressing eagerness to hear the new music and even suggesting a full Spice Girls reunion. Cruz's girlfriend, Jackie Apostel, added to the buzz with a teasing emoji.

This marks a potential musical collaboration between Victoria and Cruz, who has been actively pursuing his own music career with his band, The Breakers. Victoria has been seen supporting her son at his gigs, and last year, they recorded an acoustic version of the Spice Girls track "Viva Forever" at home, which also generated fan interest in a potential release.

Victoria Beckham's last official performance with the Spice Girls was during the 2012 Olympics Opening Ceremony. Prior to that, she participated in the band's 2007-08 world tour. In February, she reunited virtually with her bandmates Mel B, Geri Halliwell, Mel C, and Emma Bunton for a singalong at her London home.

Previously, Beckham had stated she would not participate in further official Spice Girls activities, citing her fashion career as her primary focus and remarking that her time in the band represented only four years of her life. She had also expressed doubts about her singing ability and capacity for a world tour.

Earlier this month, the Spice Girls announced a music box set, "The Singles Collection," to commemorate 30 years since the release of "Wannabe." The collection, available on vinyl and CD from November 6, will include unreleased tracks and demos, with each member contributing anniversary messages. This announcement disappointed fans who had hoped for a reunion tour, as plans for such an event were reportedly axed earlier this year due to disagreements among the band members. A proposed Netflix project celebrating the anniversary was also rumored to have been canceled.
