Vera Wang Shares Her Simple Two-Step Skincare Routine
The iconic fashion designer, 77, relies on a basic regimen and a favorite eyeshadow palette for her timeless look.
Vera Wang, the renowned fashion designer, has revealed that her ageless appearance is maintained through a surprisingly simple two-step skincare routine. Despite celebrating her 77th birthday this past summer, Wang looks significantly younger than her age, attributing this to a "basic" approach.
"I’m pretty simplistic when it comes to skin care," Wang told Page Six Style at the FGI's Night of Stars Gala in New York City. "I just wash my face and moisturize a little bit… not 18 steps!"
Her approach to makeup is similarly streamlined. While Wang admits she is "not great" at applying her own makeup, she has a fondness for Urban Decay's Naked eyeshadow palettes. "I love all of them," she said, adding with a touch of humor, "They’re classic like I am now."
Specifically, the Urban Decay Naked2 Basics Eyeshadow Palette offers a range of neutral shades, reminiscent of the original Naked palette which was discontinued in 2018. The Naked3 palette features soft pink tones.
Wang is not the only notable figure to favor the brand's palettes. It was reported in 2015 that Kate Middleton also used the original Naked palette for her own makeup. There are also rumors that the Princess of Wales recommended the palette to Michelle Obama.
