Uma Thurman recently attended the 20th-anniversary celebrations for the series "Dexter" in New York, marking a rare public appearance for the actress. Thurman, 56, is set to reprise her role as Charley in the second season of the Paramount+ series "Dexter: Resurrection."

The event also served as the season two premiere for the show. Thurman appeared in a blazer dress, paired with sheer tights and silver jewelry.

In the first season of "Dexter: Resurrection," Thurman's character Charley was the Head of Security for tech billionaire Leon Prater, played by Peter Dinklage. The season concluded with Charley fleeing to New York after being betrayed by Prater.

New and Returning Cast Members

Alongside Thurman, several other cast members are returning for the second season, including Jack Alcott, Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine, Kadia Sarif, Dominic Fumusa, and James Remar. The upcoming season will also feature new additions, such as "Succession" star Brian Cox. Cox is set to play Dom Framt, a retired serial killer known as the "New York Ripper."

Michael C. Hall will also return as Dexter Morgan, the forensics expert and serial killer. Hall's return was confirmed at San Diego Comic Con. He previously reprised his role in "Dexter: Original Sin," which explored Dexter's early career.

The synopsis for "Dexter: Resurrection" season two indicates that Dexter Morgan will be caught between two killers while dealing with a mid-life crisis. The storyline will also focus on his son, Harrison, played by Jack Alcott, as they navigate a difficult chapter.

Other new cast members joining the series include Dan Stevens, Emmy Award winner Bokeem Woodbine, and Nona Parker Johnson.

The "Dexter" franchise includes four live-action television series and one animated web series.
