UK Celebrities Scale Back Halloween Decor Amid Pumpkin Shortage

This year, UK celebrities are embracing a more subdued approach to Halloween decorations, a shift attributed to a national pumpkin shortage. Previously known for elaborate displays featuring 'mini pumpkin patches,' golden skulls, and bubbling cauldrons, stars like Molly-Mae Hague and Stacey Solomon are now opting for more understated autumnal themes.

Molly-Mae Hague has adorned her Cheshire home with subtle autumn accents. Her decor includes a pumpkin snow globe, plush toys, a cinnamon candle, and a book of incantations on her coffee table. Ceramic ghost figurines adorn her mantelpiece, alongside a tray of knitted pumpkins on a windowsill. A light-up resin statue featuring Frankenstein, the Bride of Frankenstein, a ghost, and Dracula holding a banner also features in her display.

Stacey Solomon and Joe Swash have recently moved into a new home, and their Halloween decorations are primarily focused on the staircase. They have adorned it with maple leaf garlands, wreaths, lanterns, and carved pumpkins.

Other notable personalities are also embracing a less ostentatious style. Gemma Collins has added 'gorgeous autumn touches' to her home, including garlands, fig leaf candles, and stacked resin jack-o'-lanterns. Petra Ecclestone, heiress to the F1 fortune, has opted for a large animated scarecrow outside her Dubai mansion, complemented by Gothic window decor with foliage, moss, and pumpkins.

The socialite Alice Naylor-Leyland appears to be an exception, hosting a Halloween party with a more elaborate tablescape. Her decor featured stuffed owls, skulls, and pumpkins, with skeletons hanging over the dining table. Naylor-Leyland, dressed in a black leather corset and horns, hosted the event at her Cambridgeshire home. Guests included Gucci executive Arabella Musgrave, who previously dated Prince William.

Mrs. Hinch, known as the 'Queen of Clean,' transformed her home's entrance with a wreath of leaves, a scarecrow on a bale of hay, a 'Hello pumpkin' doormat, and baskets filled with autumn leaves.

Luisa Zissman showcased a decorated golf cart at her Dubai mansion, adorned with spiderwebs and gravestones. Her daughters were seen enjoying the Halloween-themed vehicle.
