Travis Kelce discussed his proposal to Taylor Swift in the first episode of his podcast "New Heights" released since the couple's wedding last week. The episode, which featured NFL star Tom Brady, aired Wednesday morning and included Kelce reflecting on the timing of his proposal.
"During that recording, the entire time I'm planning, like I'm gonna ask this woman to marry me after this," Kelce said about the period last August when Swift first appeared on the podcast. He described the beginning of their relationship as "one I'll remember forever."
Co-host and brother Jason Kelce noted that the episode featuring Swift became the show's most viewed of all time. During her appearance, Swift spoke about their relationship, including their first meeting and Kelce's attempt to give her a friendship bracelet with his jersey number on it before they officially met.
Swift described Kelce's gesture as "such a wild romantic gesture" that felt akin to a scene from an '80s John Hughes movie. Swift and Kelce were married last Friday at Madison Square Garden in New York City, an event attended by numerous celebrities.
