Tink Reading Announces Pregnancy Following Molar Pregnancy Diagnosis

Love Island's Tink Reading has announced she is pregnant with her first child, sharing the news in a video on Instagram with her boyfriend Ethan Moran. The influencer, who was a Casa Amor bombshell on season 10 of the dating show in 2023, revealed their pregnancy news on Sunday, holding up a sonogram.

Tink, 29, captioned the post, "Half of me & half of you." Her partner Ethan was pictured kissing her baby bump in black and white photos.

Several former Love Island stars, including Molly Marsh, Summer Botwe, and Gabby Jeffery, offered their congratulations in the comments section.

This announcement comes after Reading experienced a health scare last year when she was rushed to the hospital for emergency surgery following a diagnosis of a rare molar pregnancy. A molar pregnancy occurs when abnormal cells grow in the uterus instead of a healthy fetus, and if not removed, it can potentially become cancerous. This condition affects approximately one in every 590 pregnancies in the UK and about one in 1,000 in the US.

Reading described the experience in a lengthy social media post at the time, detailing that she had less than 24 hours to process the diagnosis before undergoing emergency surgery under general anesthetic to remove the abnormal tissue. She expressed gratitude for the support of her boyfriend and loved ones throughout that challenging period and urged others who had gone through similar experiences to reach out.

Reading appeared on the ITV show in 2023 but was eliminated after the post-Casa Amor recoupling. She had revealed on the show that she and contestant Montel Mackenzie had engaged in intimate activities during her time in Casa Amor.
