The Celebrity Traitors Returns for Second Series with New Contestants and Format

The reality competition series "The Celebrity Traitors" is set to premiere its second season, featuring a larger cast of 21 celebrities and an expanded episode count due to the success of its inaugural run. Hosted once again by Claudia Winkleman, the show will challenge participants to identify "traitors" among them while competing for a £100,000 prize for charity.

The new season will kick off with an extended 75-minute debut episode on Thursday at 8:00 PM BST. Executive producer Sarah Fay indicated that the production aims to "push the envelope" with elaborate tasks and evolving concepts.

This year's contestants represent a diverse group from various fields, including.

  • Bella Ramsey (actor)
  • James Acaster (comedian and podcaster)
  • James Blunt (singer/songwriter)
  • Jerry Hall (model and actress)
  • Joanne McNally (comedian)
  • Joe Lycett (comedian)

A trailer for the series shows the celebrities arriving at a castle, their initial greetings giving way to visible nervousness. Their challenges include a mission in a lake, with Winkleman's voiceover ominously stating, "Fame won't save them."

Winkleman described her intense focus on the contestants' activities, spending hours monitoring them via screens. "I'm like a weirdo just applying fake tan, watching," she said, admitting she often stays long after she is told to leave. Ed Gamble, host of the spin-off show "Uncloaked," similarly shared his deep engagement with the footage.

Winkleman's distinctive fashion sense is also a highlight of the show. "I like the fact that it is 'human crow meets golf caddy meets the Artful Dodger',
