Tess Daly, 57, is spending time in Mallorca with friends, enjoying a break to "slow down, reset and recharge," according to her latest social media post. The holiday comes as reports surfaced this week that her estranged husband, Vernon Kay, 52, has purchased a new home approximately 15 minutes away from their shared family residence.
Daly posted images of herself in a blue and pink swimsuit from her Naia Beach range, enjoying the sun and sea. "Switching off, and soaking up some sun and sea, and feeling gratitude for quality time with the best of friends," she captioned one of her posts.
Recent reports indicate that Kay, a BBC Radio 2 DJ, is still living with Daly but is preparing to move into a new £3 million house in Buckinghamshire. Sources suggest the property includes a swimming pool and extensive grounds and is currently undergoing renovations. The decision to buy a home nearby is reportedly to remain close to their two daughters, Phoebe, 21, and Amber, 17.
"It means he can stay close to their girls, which is something important to both him and Tess," a source told The Sun. "He's having renovations done and will move out when the house is ready. Tess is supporting him with the move. It's going to be very strange for them after living together for over two decades, so they're both treating the situation with care and respect."
Daly and Kay announced their separation in May after 23 years of marriage. In a joint statement, they described the decision as mutual and amicable, emphasizing their commitment to their roles as parents. "This has not been an easy choice, but it comes from a place of mutual understanding and a shared desire of what is best for both of us," the statement read. "We remain great friends and, most importantly, fully committed to our roles as loving and supportive parents, which will always be our priority. There are no other parties involved in this decision. We kindly ask for privacy during this time."
The couple, whose combined estimated wealth is around £10 million, were last seen together publicly in February when they co-hosted an episode of The One Show. They confirmed their separation, stating they would not be making further public comments.
