Taylor Swift Debuts ‘Patient Zero’ Music Video at VMAs, Receives Inaugural Director Honor
The singer premiered the new visual for “Patient Zero” during the MTV Video Music Awards, where she also accepted a newly established award for directing.

Taylor Swift unveiled the music video for her song “Patient Zero” at the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday. Swift, who also directed the video, received the inaugural Artist Director Honors at the ceremony. This marks her fifth win in the directing category at the VMAs.
Actor Dakota Johnson, who stars in the video alongside Swift and Colin Farrell, presented Swift with the award. Johnson described working with Swift as “the most fun thing on the planet” due to their long-standing friendship and mutual creative respect.
“Patient Zero” is featured on “The Life of a Showgirl: The Encore,” an expanded deluxe edition of Swift's 12th album, released on Friday. The deluxe version also includes the tracks “Pink Clouding,” “Babylon,” and “Cleveland!”.
