Taylor Swift Dazzles in Dior Ballgown at Academy Museum Gala
The Grammy winner sported an icy blue, beaded creation that evoked a "Cinderella" moment.
Taylor Swift made a striking appearance at the Academy Museum Gala 2026, arriving in a show-stopping icy blue Dior ballgown. The creation featured delicate beading and a prominent bow detail at the front, drawing comparisons to the fairy tale character Cinderella.
The 14-time Grammy winner complemented the ethereal gown with her hair styled in loose curls, pulled back in a half-up arrangement. She opted for diamond chandelier earrings and a tennis bracelet, foregoing a necklace.
Swift was also slated to perform at the event, which honored filmmaker and composer John Carpenter, two-time Oscar nominee Colman Domingo, and Oscar winner Charlize Theron. Amy Homma, Director and President of the Academy Museum and Academy Collection, commented on Swift's involvement, stating, "Taylor is an extraordinary talent whose work resonates around the world. We are thrilled to welcome her to this year’s gala and look forward to her performance to close a wonderful evening of honoring three extraordinary filmmakers and supporting the Academy Museum’s mission to celebrate and preserve cinema."
The Academy Museum Gala, now in its sixth year, raises funds for the institution's exhibitions, educational programs, and public screenings. Rolex serves as the founding supporter, and the gala is co-chaired by Tom Ford, Robert Rodriguez, Steven Spielberg, and Kate Capshaw. The host committee for the evening included numerous notable figures from the entertainment industry.
