Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's Affectionate Moments Revealed in 'Patient Zero' Behind-the-Scenes Footage

Newly released behind-the-scenes footage from Taylor Swift's music video for 'Patient Zero' offers a glimpse into the star's professional life, featuring affectionate interactions with her husband, Travis Kelce.

The video, subtitled "So Let's Get into It," shows Swift, 36, alongside her music video co-stars Dakota Johnson, 37, and Colin Farrell, 50. In one segment, Kelce, 37, is seen standing behind Swift as she sits in a director's chair, gently embracing her. Johnson, who also appears in the footage, shared a laugh with Kelce.

Kelce's brief appearance comes as the NFL star faced public scrutiny for liking a social media post that included a 'misogynistic' joke by SNL star Shane Gillis.

Behind-the-scenes clips also highlight the camaraderie between Swift and Johnson, as well as Swift and Farrell. Farrell is seen conversing with Swift and Johnson between takes, a stark contrast to the intense on-screen interactions between their characters.

The footage also features glimpses of a gala scene involving Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford and Cara Delevingne.

While the new footage details the production of the 'Patient Zero' video, it does little to address fan speculation that the song and video are inspired by Swift's past relationship with actor Joe Alwyn. Fans have pointed to recurring props and Swift's attire in certain scenes as possible allusions to her relationship with Alwyn. A tombstone seen at the end of the video has also been interpreted by some fans as a nod to her former relationship.

Behind-the-scenes footage released Tuesday by Spotify from Taylor Swift's Patient Zero video revealed the 36-year-old singer's husband Travis Kelce, 37, affectionately soothing her between takes.

Swift debuted the music video during the MTV Video Music Awards last month. She directed and wrote the script for the video, which depicts Johnson and Farrell in a tumultuous romance, with Swift appearing as the deceased wife of Farrell's character who returns to warn Johnson's character.

Swift also received the inaugural Artist Director Honors at the VMAs, an award presented by Johnson, recognizing artists who have demonstrated a significant directorial voice. Throughout her career, Swift has directed numerous music videos, including those for "The Man," "cardigan," "willow," and "Anti-Hero."

The 'Patient Zero' video begins with Swift's character visiting her own grave before observing Johnson's character's struggle with Farrell's. The narrative includes explosive fights, moments of passion, and a montage of Swift and Farrell's characters experiencing relationship ups and downs, culminating in her character's death. Headlines appearing on screen suggest Farrell's character may have been motivated by financial gain.

The video concludes with Swift and Johnson visiting a gravesite identified as Swift's ghost, with her birth year listed as 1989 and her death year as 2023, fueling further fan theories about Alwyn.

The release of 'The Life of a Showgirl: The Encore,' a deluxe version of Swift's 2025 album, preceded the video. This extended edition includes four new songs, one of which, "Cleveland," is reportedly a love anthem to Kelce. However, critics have largely given unfavorable reviews to the new tracks, with Metacritic assigning the album a score of 39.

Swift announced the deluxe album as an expression of gratitude to her fans for the success of "The Life of a Showgirl," which she noted achieved the biggest first-week album sales in history. The new songs were written during a trip to Sweden with collaborators Max Martin and Shellback.
